When anyone mentions strange food, traveling is the first thing to cross my mind. That is because it gives me a chance to explore local food around the world. Usually I describe food as a strange or unusual because I am not familiar with it, so when I travel I always try not to miss any chance to try the local dishes. Who knows I may find something I like.
However, the strangest thing I've ever eaten was a thing that I ate at my city. It was a Locust! A locust that is toasted, salted, and ready to be eaten. I did that a long time ago when I was a kid but I think I still remember how it taste. It was crunchy almost as chips. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll try it again because eating an insect is a one time thing for me.
Haha! I have always wondered how locusts tasted like. Was there any scent to it? I hope I can try it one of these days. Thank you for sharing!
